Mike Smith

For me, fishing has been a way of life beginning in  my early childhood. I fished the Norfolk Broads evenings, weekends  and throughout my school holidays. every spare minute I had you would find me by the water with a rod in my hand.
The first time I held a fly rod was in my early teens and ever since then fly fishing has been a major part of my life.
About 25 years ago I was asked if I would consider becoming an instructor. I agreed and have since become am Anglian Trust Level 2 coach, a GAIC (Game Angling Instructor Certified) and an APGAI (Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor). My passion is instructing fly fishing and seeing the progress made by my students right from the first moment they pick up a fly rod  to their first Spey cast or purely the moment where they realise how much they enjoy the sport.

If you would like an introduction to the gentle art of fly fishing or wish to develop your skills further then  fill ion the contact us box t the foot of this page or email strictlyflyfishing@msn.com.
